Leïla Beaudoin, a proud native of Témiscouata, discovered boxing at the age of 18 and quickly made her mark on the amateur scene over the next five years.
Starting her career in the 64 kg category, she secured second place at the Canadian Championships in 2018 before deciding to move down a weight class. The results spoke for themselves—she was crowned Canadian champion in the 60 kg division.
In addition to her national title and past success at the Golden Gloves, this Bas-Saint-Laurent talent represented Canada internationally, competing in Tunisia and Poland. She concluded her amateur career with an impressive record of 28 wins and 6 losses.
Motivated to take her career to the next level, Beaudoin turned professional under the Eye of the Tiger banner, making her debut in October 2019. Fast forward five years, and 2024 proved to be the best year of her young career. In January, at the Videotron Centre, the 28-year-old avenged her sole professional loss by defeating Elizabeth Chavez Espinoza via unanimous decision. Then, in August, she captured her first title—the WBO International Championship—by dominating two-time world title challenger Lizbeth Crespo over 10 rounds.
With a stellar record of 12 wins in 13 fights, Leïla Beaudoin is knocking on the door of a world title fight in 2025. Currently ranked in the top 10 by three major boxing organizations, it wouldn’t be surprising to see her seize her opportunity sooner rather than later.
