DAVID LEMIEUX

David Lemieux is one of the most powerful boxers on the planet and never shies away from any challenge. He manages to seduce crowds thanks to his precision and his devastating punching power, certainly, but also thanks to his boundless energy and his charismatic personality.

Throughout the KOs, David won the Quebec title (CQB), the WBC intercontinental youth title, and then the WBC Intercontinental title. He will only need one round to defend this against Hector Camacho jr but will have to let the title go to Joachim Alcine just over a year later.

At the young age of 22, David demonstrates all his strength of character by immediately wanting to face renowned boxers. He thus climbs in the rankings by accumulating hard-hitting victories and gets his chance to demonstrate the extent of his talent on the international scene. David delivers a spectacular performance live on the prestigious HBO network against tough Gabriel Rosado who ceded the win by technical knockout.

On June 20th, 2015, David will have the opportunity to fight for the IBF world title against Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam. Spectators are entitled to an action-packed confrontation as Lemieux sends the Frenchman to the floor four times between the 2nd and the 7th round. Each time, N’Dam gets up and returns to the fight, delivering good exchanges. The fight then goes to the judge’s decision! To the delight of the crowd, David Lemieux is crowned IBF world champion.

Ambitious, the young 26-year-old boxer wants to unify the belts and face the best boxers in his division. He accepts to face the most feared pugilist in all divisions: Gennady Golovkin, in a historic duel presented at Madison Square Garden. Although he was defeated by a technical knockout in the 8th round against who is known as “GGG”, David Lemieux remains determined to reach the highest peaks of the middleweight division and to conquer his next world title. As soon as his next bout, he got hold of the NABO and WBO titles as he sent Glen Tapia to the mat in the 4th round. The Quebec heavy hitter continues his ascent and accumulates several knockouts. The knockouts against Curtis Stevens and Gary O’Sullivan are among the most spectacular. Rising to the challenges, Lemieux and his team now wish to conquer the super middleweight division.
