Mehmet Nadir Unal is originally from Adana, Turkey. A natural athlete, he was initiated to combat sports as a young adolescent and quickly gained recognition, first as a kickboxer, then as an amateur boxer.
Kickboxing established a solid foundation for his boxing career by allowing him to compete nationally and internationally, and join the world-renowned kickboxing K-1 team. Following this, he joined the competitive ranks of the Fenerbahçe Boxing Club in Istanbul. Proud and athletically intimidating, Unal has enjoyed great success, notably at the European Olympic qualifying competitions. As a result, he was selected for the Turkish team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, where he earned a place in the Top 10 of the 81 kg category.
In the wake of his monumental professional boxing début in July 2021 after joining the ranks of EOTTM and earning KO victories in the light-heavyweight division, the Turkish boxer who is now a resident of Montreal is establishing a reputation as a power puncher. He is known to have heavy hands and to be a fearsome opponent with a formidable style, the exact type who will doubtlessly thrill boxing fans!
