Starting his boxing journey at the age of 9, he quickly became a feared competitor. A true menace in the amateur ranks, where he amassed over 200 fights, Makhmudov also dominated the World Series of Boxing (WSB), remaining undefeated. His spectacular performances in the WSB garnered significant attention online, even before he began his professional career with Eye of the Tiger.
Fearless and relentless, Arslanbek has declared his intent to eliminate every opponent in his path. In 2017, he made a thunderous debut on Canadian soil, demolishing Jaime Barajas in just 24 seconds at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto. This feat became a recurring theme, as Makhmudov secured the majority of his victories in mere minutes, sometimes seconds. In 2019, he became the first to knock out veteran Avery Gibson. Continuing his momentum that year, he claimed the WBC Continental Americas title by defeating Jonathan Rice and the NABF title by taking down Julian Fernandez. In 2021, he added the NABA title to his collection by destroying Pavel Sour in the first round. Then, in 2022, former world title challenger Carlos Takam felt the Lion’s wrath, hitting the canvas twice as Makhmudov captured the WBC Silver title via unanimous decision.
