Introduced to boxing at age 11 in Saint-Clet, Avery Martin-Duval quickly built a solid reputation as an amateur on both the provincial and national stages. A multi-time Quebec and Canadian champion, he also won the Adidas Cup and the Canada Games. His journey took him to several high-profile international competitions, notably in Tunisia and the United States. Jessy-Ross Thompson, the ambidextrous boxer possesses a unique gift: "Avery has extraordinary vision—his timing and understanding of the science of boxing are world-class. These rare skills, combined with exceptional punching power, are a guaranteed recipe for success."
Won by unanimous decision against Romanian veteran James Chereji, remaining undefeated and earning his 15th professional victory.
Earned his 10th professional victory—and Knockout of the Night—by impressing in the third round against Andres Ramirez.
Made his professional debut with EOTTM at the age of 18, winning in the first round against Martin Sanchez.
Despite his amateur success, Martin-Duval decided to turn professional early to pursue his ultimate dream of becoming a world champion. He made his debut with EOTTM just days after his 18th birthday, making an immediate impact. The Hawkesbury native not only won his pro debut in the first round but returned to the ring just two weeks later to score another first-round victory.
Over the years, the EOTTM prospect has lived up to his nickname, "The Future," by never backing down from a challenge. Now 23, he trains under Khaled Elbassat at Montreal's Urban Legends Boxing Gym. Still undefeated through 13 fights, he looks closer than ever to 10-round bouts and a push into the world rankings.
