Professional Debut & Rise

Fearless and merciless, Arslanbek has made it clear that he intends to eliminate every fighter standing in his way. In 2017, he made an explosive Canadian debut, demolishing Jaime Barajas in just 24 seconds at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall. He would repeat that feat throughout his early career, earning most of his victories within minutes—and sometimes seconds. In 2019, he became the first fighter to stop veteran Avery Gibson. Later that year, he captured the WBC Continental Americas title against Jonathan Rice and the NABF title against Julian Fernandez. In 2021, he added the NABA title to his collection by destroying Pavel Sour in the opening round. Then, in 2022, former world-title contender Carlos Takam faced the power of “The Lion.” After dropping Takam twice, Makhmudov earned a unanimous-decision victory to claim the WBC Silver title.

The Lion Takes on the World’s Best

In 2023, “The Lion” continued his rise on the global stage. In July, he handed Raphael Akpejiori the first loss of his career in a fight broadcast in the United States on ESPN. In October, he stopped former world-title contender Junior Anthony Wright in the opening round during the mega-event The Battle of the Baddest in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Despite difficult matchups against elite opponents such as Agit Kabayel and Guido Vianello, Makhmudov showed remarkable courage by continuing to compete through significant injuries. He has also gone toe-to-toe with Tyson Fury, one of the most popular boxers in the world. Determined to come back stronger, he enters the next chapter of his career with a clear goal: to remain among the world’s best heavyweights.
